About Nikisha

Marketer.  Strategist.  Extrovert.

Nikisha Reyes-Grange, the principal and founder of 77 Communications, has over a decade of marketing and communications experience. She has developed and implemented innovative marketing programs in the telecommunications, music, gaming, finance and media industries. Responsible for the first international launch of Virgin Festival – the UK-based music festival of Richard Branson’s Virgin Group – Nikisha built the brand in Canada, established it as one of the most successful entertainment properties in North America and expanded it from Toronto to Vancouver and Calgary.

Before joining Virgin, Nikisha worked with publishing firm Brunico Communications (publisher of Strategy magazine and others) where she developed media industry conferences across the USA in support of their RealScreen and KidScreen publications, and led Xbox’s national experiential marketing in Canada. Previously, she launched Innoversity, a not-for-profit organization focused on increasing cultural diversity in mainstream media.

In 2000, Nikisha founded Your Paper Doll, a virtual fitting room application intended for use in the garment e-commerce industry and was profiled in media such as Venture, Canadian Business, and Canada Computes. She has also worked as a product development and marketing consultant for Yahoo!, Palm, GlaxoSmithKline, Samsung, Trident, Nike, Coca-Cola, Dentyne, CBC Television, and provincial and federal government departments.

Nikisha has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialty in IT Management from Ryerson University.  She sits on the Board of Directors of Canada World Youth , the organizing committee for Power Ball, Toronto’s original contemporary art party, TSOundwave, the young professionals board of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and is a member of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Juno Awards). An avid runner, Nikisha can often be found attempting to shave time off her 5km.
